Have you thought about riding the Munda Biddi Trail?

This 1000 km off road cycling trail from Mundaring to Albany in Western Australia is one of National Geographic's top 10 cycle rides in the world. It often utilises old temporary rail trails (called forms), and it is packed full of history, adventure and natural beauty.

But before you start packing your panniers (or hook up your bike trailer) on your mountain bike (MTB) and pedal off, there is plenty you need to know. W.A. is different from other states, and many riders have been surprised by our local conditions. Read our ride reviews and blog, or see one of our many videos on what the Trail is like.

Plus, we have also found a few other rides that you may also like. Some are close to Perth, others are in the country. See under "Rides" for some suggestions.

As well as offering lots of information, photos and history, our site has sourced off road cycling products to help you on your trip. Just go to our Shop, in the menu at the top of this page.

  • I have spent over 13 years collecting Munda Biddi data including ride times, average speeds and trail conditions.
  • I am passionate about local history, and have tried to weave it into the ride so you know what is all around you as you go.
  • I have collected lots of photos and video to show the beauty of these rides, and what you will see along the way.
  • My detailed route sheets, ride profiles and track notes record every marker, enabling you to minimise the chances of getting lost.
  • I have tried to cover everything for you - how to get there, what to take, what you will see - so you just have to pack your bike and get out and ride!
